The lottery runs from 29th January to 8th April 2026. The total number of tickets offered in the Lottery is 4,000 ranging from 2001 to 6000 inclusive. This prize draw is a lottery and as such no tax deductible donation receipts will be issued. Results will be declared by random selection, by app of included numbers, under supervision of an independent witness in accordance with Rule 6 (14) of the Gambling Act (Lottery) Game Rules 2004.

Declaration will be held at the premises of the Twizel Police Station (23 Tasman Road, Twizel) at 11am, 9th April 2026 for the Lottery prize draw of the 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes (1st prize winning number will be excluded from 2nd & 3rd prize draw. 2nd prize winning number will be excluded from 3rd prize draw). All prize winners will be contacted directly (and notified in writing) and results will be published on the High Country Medical Trust Facebook page on 9th April 2026. Results will also be published in the Christchurch Press and the Timaru Herald on the 11th of April 2026. Winners must provide sufficient evidence of their identity.
Any prize not claimed by 11th July 2026 will be referred to the Secretary of Internal Affairs in accordance with Rule 15 of the Gambling Act (Lottery) Game Rules – Conduct of Game 2004. This Lottery is conducted by Licence issued under Section 37 of the Gambling Act 2003 – Licence Number LT090000932.
If you authorise it, your name and contact details will be retained to keep you informed about future offers, promotional events or fundraising activities that may be of interest to you. You may check, update or suppress your details from our records by contacting the High Country Medical Centre at the following address: Nicholas Ward (Organiser), 42 The Drive, Twizel 7901. Should early cancellation of this Lottery be necessary, notification will be given by public notice in the Christchurch Press on 9th April 2026 with all ticket purchases to be refunded thereafter.

The net proceeds from the lottery will be used by the High Country Medical Trust to build a garage to house their Primary Response in Medical Emergency (PRIME) emergency vehicles at the Twizel Medical Centre to ensure the vehicles can depart without having to clear them of snow & ice and thereby ensuring a minimum of time to get to emergencies.
Twizel Medical Centre is community owned (non-profit). All money received is applied to operating the medical centre. Surplus funds will be used to upgrade facilities and to buy equipment for the centre. The High Country Medical Trust is
a registered Charity (license no. CC49308, registered 8/5/2013) under the Charities Act 2005.
