Twizel Medical Centre is the primary medical facility for Twizel and the surrounding district. Our Primary Response in Medical Emergency (PRIME) vehicles are on the road every day… literally. Even in winter, they’re parked outside. That means before responding to an emergency, our team must clear snow/scrape, defrost windscreens before they can get to you. It’s not ideal when every minute matters. This lottery, run by the High Country Medical Trust along with High Country Health, will help us build a dedicated garage, so our emergency vehicles can be defrosted and ready to go when the call comes in.
